Large Skirted Terret Ring. A complete terret (rein guide) comprising a circular ring mounted atop an apron which is lozenge-shaped in plan and has a spherical knop at each corner. Two of the corners are curved upwards toward the ring. Below the skirt is a sub-rectangular loop for attachment to a yoke. Circa 1st century CE. 60 x 47mm
